Everyday stress affects
many aspects of your life
Stress
plays a major factor in your health, resistance to
illness, productivity and well being.
The more stress in your life the greater the chance
your health will suffer. Based on scientific research,
physicians are increasingly recognizing the key role
played by stress in many of the patients they see.
We also recognize that many medical conditions can
affect your emotional state. Serious or chronic physical
illness often makes people anxious and depressed.
Since these mood states negatively affect physical
health, a vicious cycle can develop. |

Program Services
Mind/Body Healthnet Program is an integrated program provided by
a staff of experienced psychologists who specialize in anxiety, stress
management and health in collaboration with physicians, nutritionists,
and physical therapists.
Assessment and Diagnosis:
The degree of stress, anxiety, and depression, as well as the patients
coping abilities are assessed. Three emotional systems known to affect
health are monitored: emotional balance, self-image balance, and
optimism balance.
Consultation and Recommendation:
The individual needs of each patient are pinpointed, with emphasis
on physical, nutritional, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
Educational Programs:
The Mind/Body Workshop offers three levels of training and education
for stress management and coping. Based on Cognitive Behavioral Science,
participants learn to relax, cool their thinking, and pace their
daily activities to restore optimal balance.
Individual Counseling:
Patients desiring private consultation receive a program of individually
tailored counseling designed to improve personal functioning. |
